2012 Olympic Sailing and Paralympic Sailing Events
The 2012 Olympic Sailing and Paralympic Sailing Events due to take place off of Portland may start a local property boom as spectators and competitors from all over the world converge on this quirky island off the coast of Dorset. Some hotels and guest houses are already fully booked in anticipation of the events.
Portland has long been famous for its stone (Saint Pauls Cathedral in London is built from it) and now it aims to put itself on the map with the purpose built Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy which will host the 2012 Olympic Sailing and Paralympic Sailing.
